Stolen John Deere Gator Recovered in Lauderdale County; Two Arrested

Lauderdale County, MS — July 23, 2025

A stolen John Deere Gator was recovered Tuesday morning in the 5400 block of Minnie Farm Road in Lauderdale County. Authorities report that two individuals — a male and a female — were taken into custody at the scene.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department, deputies located the stolen vehicle parked behind a double-wide mobile home. While deputies were on the scene, a Chevrolet Camaro drove up. The two occupants were detained, and a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed undisclosed narcotics. The John Deere Gator, reportedly was stolen from SunSouth on South Frontage Road, and the Camaro were both transported to the Meridian Police Department for further investigation.

As of now, the identities of the two individuals have not been released. The Meridian Police Department is expected to provide additional details as the investigation continues.
