Wanted Suspect Captured After Foot Chase in Choctaw County, AL

CHOCTAW COUNTY, AL – A wanted individual was taken into custody Thursday following a coordinated effort between the Choctaw County Sheriff's Office and the Gilbertown Police Department.

Authorities say that on April 16, 2026, law enforcement received information that Colby Roberts was located on Carlisle Road in Choctaw County.

When deputies arrived at the scene, Roberts reportedly fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. After a search of the area, deputies were able to locate and apprehend him without incident.

Roberts is facing multiple charges, including:

Probation Revocation

Assault 2nd Degree

Attempting to Elude Police

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was transported to the Wilcox County Jail, where he is currently being held on bond.
