*Boil Water Notice Issued for North Lauderdale Water Customers

NORTH LAUDERDALE — January 8 — The North Lauderdale Water Association has issued a boil water notice following a loss of system pressure caused by prolonged maintenance work.

All members and water customers within the affected service area who experienced a complete loss of water pressure or flow on January 8 are advised to follow boil water precautions until further notice.

As a safety measure, residents should not use tap water for:

Drinking

Making ice

Preparing food

Brushing teeth

unless the water has been boiled vigorously for at least one minute and allowed to cool.

North Lauderdale Water Association officials stated that water samples will be collected over the next several days to test chlorine disinfection levels and check for potential contaminants.

Customers will be notified once the water system meets all safety standards and the boil water notice is lifted.

For more information, members may contact the North Lauderdale Water office at 601-681-6157 or visit the association’s Facebook page.
