MERIDIAN, MS- The 73rd Annual Jimmie Rodgers Festival returns May 7–9, celebrating Meridian’s musical legacy with three days of outstanding performances, community tradition, and cultural pride. Since 1953, the festival has honored the legacy of Jimmie Rodgers, the Father of Country Music, and helped carry Mississippi’s musical heritage into the future.

The festival opens Thursday, May 7, with a free bluegrass concert at The MAX, followed by two ticketed anchor events on Friday and Saturday — including Saturday’s headlining performance by Marcus King.
