Forced Entry Ends in Hospitalization, Charges Pending

A male suspect was transported to a local hospital overnight after allegedly forcing entry into the home of a former acquaintance.

The homeowner confronted the intruder and used a knife to stop him during the incident.

Lauderdale County Deputies responded to the scene and the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities say charges are pending.

Officials also confirmed that the individual had outstanding felony warrants out of Alabama at the time of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
