Standoff Ends With Arrest in Winston County

A standoff in the Crystal Ridge Community of Winston County has ended with an arrest early Sunday morning.

The situation was successfully resolved around 3 a.m., and the individual involved was taken into custody by the Winston County Sheriff’s Office.

Choctaw Police initially responded Saturday evening to a trailer on Murry Fulton Road in the Crystal Ridge Community following multiple reports of a stolen shotgun and shots fired. The individual inside the trailer reportedly refused to cooperate, leading to an extended standoff.

Choctaw Police, the Winston County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene. Authorities confirmed that no shots were fired at law enforcement, and no injuries were reported.

Officials say communication was established with the individual during the incident, which ultimately led to a peaceful resolution.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details are expected to be released by authorities.
