Three Arrested in Commercial Burglary at Tri-C Wood Products in Union
UNION, MS — Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a commercial burglary at Tri-C Wood Products that occurred during the New Year holiday period, according to Union Police.
On December 15, 2025, Tri-C Wood Products contacted the Union Police Department after discovering several items missing from the business. Surveillance video was reviewed and used to identify the suspects involved in the theft.
Investigators later determined that a large quantity of loose copper scrap had been removed from the building. The value of the stolen copper is currently estimated at approximately $1,150, though officials say the total loss is still being assessed as the investigation continues.
The following arrests were made:
David Smith, an employee of Tri-C Wood Products, was arrested and charged with Commercial Burglary.
Shannon Jenkins, also an employee, was arrested and charged with Commercial Burglary and Resisting Arrest. Police report Jenkins fled on foot for a short distance before surrendering without further incident.
Isaiah Tilley was arrested and charged as an Accessory After the Fact for assisting in the sale of the stolen property.
The investigation and arrests were led by Investigator J. Grimes, with assistance from Officers T. Stevens, D. Glover, C. Mapp, and D. Gilmore.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
