Three Arrested After Drug Task Force Executes Search Warrants in Meridian

MERIDIAN, Miss. — Three individuals were arrested Thursday morning following the execution of two search warrants by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force with assistance from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team.

Authorities say the warrants were served at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at two residences in Meridian. The first search took place in the 3700 block of 10th Street, while the second occurred in the 2900 block of 13th Street.

According to law enforcement officials, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

Latoya Marsh was charged with Sale of a Controlled Substance within 1,500 feet of a church. Her bond was set at $100,000.

Jerry Dewayne Brooks faces multiple charges, including Felon in Possession of a Firearm and several drug-related offenses, all allegedly committed within 1,500 feet of a church. Charges include:

Sale of Methamphetamine

Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute

Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute Possession of Spice with Intent to Distribute

Possession of Oxycodone with Intent to Distribute

Brooks’ total bond was set at $700,000.

Marcus Crockett was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. His bond was set at $100,000.

Officials say the arrests stem from an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the community.
