Three Arrested Following Multi-Agency Drug Investigation in Lauderdale County
Meridian, Miss. — October 29, 2025
A coordinated effort between multiple law enforcement agencies has led to the arrest of three individuals following a months-long drug investigation across the City of Meridian and Lauderdale County.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, officers from the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, Lauderdale County SWAT Team, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed three search warrants at separate locations:
1600 block of 17th Street
1300 block of 36th Avenue
1000 block of Sandflat Road
During the raids, authorities seized cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, assorted pills, firearms, U.S. currency, several dogs, and numerous stolen items.
Three suspects were taken into custody and charged as follows:
Lynthrell Nelson — Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1,500 feet of a Church while in Possession of a Firearm; Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Total Bond: $150,000
Jonathan Nolan — Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1,500 feet of a School while in Possession of a Firearm; Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Total Bond: $100,000
Tyrone Tillman — Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute; Sale of Controlled Substances (Two Counts).
Total Bond: $140,000
All three suspects have since posted bond. Their cases will be presented to the next available Lauderdale County Grand Jury for consideration.
Sheriff Ward Calhoun praised the collaboration between agencies, stating:
“This investigation and the successful execution of these warrants demonstrate the strength of cooperation among local and state partners. The work of the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, MBN, and our SWAT Team underscores our ongoing commitment to hold drug offenders accountable and to make Lauderdale County a safer place for every citizen.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
