Kemper County Homicide Victim Memorial Garden Unveiling Ceremony

In honor of homicide victims and survivors, District Attorney Kassie Coleman announces the unveiling of the

Kemper County Homicide Victim Memorial Garden on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the

Kemper County Courthouse in Dekalb, Mississippi.

The District Attorney’s Office is proud to join with the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office in raising awareness of

victims’ rights and honoring crime victims. The Victim Memorial Garden was created to pay tribute to

homicide victims from Kemper County. It will provide a space for friends and relatives to reflect on the lives

of their loved ones.

District Attorney Kassie Coleman invites the public to join her office for the unveiling ceremony. The District

Attorney’s Office is committed to supporting victims through the criminal justice process. We hope that the

families and friends of those who have suffered immense and traumatic loss due to a homicide will gather with

us to commemorate the Homicide Victim Memorial Garden and to recognize and remember homicide victims
