Early Morning Burglary at Tony’s Southern Sportsman in Meridian

Meridian, MS — An early morning burglary occurred at Tony’s Southern Sportsman around 3:15 a.m. Monday. Thieves gained access to the business by likely using bolt cutters to remove a window protector before breaking a window to enter the building.

Officers from the Meridian Police Department (MPD), including K-9 Officer Toledo, arrived within minutes of the alarm and quickly cleared the building.

At this time, it remains unclear how much inventory may have been taken. MPD has confirmed that this incident is an active investigation, and no further details have been released.
