Major Arrest in Child Exploitation Investigation in Kemper County

Authorities in Kemper County have announced the arrest of a local man following a multi-week investigation into the possession of child exploitation material.

Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest

Investigators with the Kemper County Sheriff’s Office, working in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), identified an individual suspected of downloading large volumes of illegal material from the dark web.

According to officials, the suspect had accumulated several hundred gigabytes of child porxxxxxxxx content.

Search Warrant Executed

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team executed a search and arrest warrant at a residence on Parsonage Road in the Preston community.

Suspect Charged

Timothy Walker was taken into custody without incident.

He now faces:

20 counts of Possession of Child Porxxxxxxxx

Bond has been set at:

$250,000 per charge
