DUI Arrest Leads to Child Endangerment Charges in Sebastopol

Sebastopol, MS — September 29, 2025

Two Philadelphia, Mississippi men were arrested by the Sebastopol Police Department following a traffic stop that led to multiple criminal charges, including child endangerment.

Jimmy Dale Sistrunk and Anthony James Broadway were taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana and child endangerment. According to police, the arrests occurred after officers observed erratic driving and initiated a stop.

Sistrunk, who was driving the vehicle, was additionally charged with DUI (substance other than alcohol) and careless driving. Officers noted that a child was present during the incident, prompting the child endangerment charges.

Bond has been set for both individuals. Their cases are scheduled to proceed to trial at a later date.

“The safety of our community, especially our children, is our top priority,” the department stated. “We are committed to holding individuals accountable when their actions place others at risk.”
