Wanted for Murder in Meridian

The Meridian Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in a Saturday shooting at a local business.

Ketwantavius Azurdijour Dean has been identified by Meridian police as a person of interest in the morning shooting in the parking lot of Burger King, located on North Frontage Road.

Meridian police responded to the scene after reports of a male subject shot at the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.

The shooting suspect fled the scene in what police described as a small, tan-colored sedan.

The Lauderdale County Coroner, Stella McHahan, has released the name of the man who was shot and killed Saturday Morning at Burger King. Anthony McDonald, 21 was killed in the parking lot around noon. Ketwantavius Azurdijour Dean, has been identified by MPD as a suspect in the murder. As of 2 pm this afternoon, Dean is still at large.

This marks the 9th homicide of Meridian this year, with another 30 who have been shot within the city limits of Meridian.
