Rollover Accident Reported on I-20 Near Russell Early This Morning

Emergency crews responded to a rollover accident on Interstate 20 eastbound near the Russell on-ramp (mile marker 160) early this morning.

The accident occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m. The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department, Russell Volunteer Fire Department, Metro Ambulance, and the Mississippi Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.

Officials report that the driver was able to climb out of the overturned vehicle. Metro Ambulance transported the individual to a local hospital for medical care. The extent of injuries has not been released.
