Work plans to impact traffic on Minnow Bucket Road

Drivers are encouraged to take precautions and plan alternate routes as work planned on Minnow Bucket Road will impact traffic over the next week.

Lauderdale County Road and Bridge crews will continue side trimming along the sides of Minnow Bucket Road this weekend, which will close one lane of traffic. The work is expected to last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Coordinator Ryan Mosley said his department is also planning to replace a cross pipe along the road next week. The project will close the road to through traffic beginning Tuesday, June 30, through Thursday, July 2.

The road is slated to be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Limited access will be available for those living on Minnow Bucket Road, but drivers are strongly encouraged to use Lauderdale Toomsuba Road and avoid the area if possible.
