Neshoba County Placed Under Burn Ban Through November 2
NESHOBA COUNTY, Miss. — Neshoba County is the latest county to be placed under a burn ban as extremely dry conditions and an increased risk of wildfires prompt officials to restrict outdoor burning.
The burn ban is in effect through November 2, unless extended or lifted earlier by authorities.
During the ban, outdoor burning is prohibited unless a specific exemption is authorized. Residents are urged to use caution and avoid activities that could spark a fire.
Officials warn that anyone whose fire escapes and damages another person’s property could be held financially responsible. Violating the burn ban may also result in a citation and fines from local law enforcement.
Residents are encouraged to follow the burn ban and help reduce the risk of wildfires while dry conditions persist.
