Reward Offered for Information in Carthage Shooting Investigation

CARTHAGE, Miss. — A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a shooting that occurred late Saturday night in Carthage.

According to the Carthage, MS Police Department , officers were dispatched to a residence on Old Canton Road around 11:30 p.m. on January 11, 2026, in reference to a reported shooting.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that one individual had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that multiple shots were fired during the incident.

Police are actively investigating and are asking anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward. A reward is being offered for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
