BOIL WATER NOTICE | NORTH MERIDIAN

The City of Meridian, Mississippi has issued a precautionary boil water notice for a portion of north Meridian, generally affecting the North Hills Street, Highway 493 and Poplar Springs Drive area. Please refer to the map for the exact boundaries.

The affected area begins near the intersection of Highway 493 and North Hills Street, extends east to 13th Place, north toward 11th Avenue and the city limits, then west along the city limits to Poplar Springs Drive and south toward North Hills Street.

Residents and businesses within the highlighted area should boil water vigorously for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or preparing food.

City crews will collect the required water samples for testing. The precautionary notice will remain in effect until testing confirms the water is safe for normal use.

We will provide an update as soon as test results are received and the notice can be lifted.
