Around 1:15 this afternoon a Deputy Sheriff from Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant at 10061 Road 717. The warrant was a Justice Court Failure to Appear on Brad Kilpatrick.

The officer made contact with Kilpatrick, and the subject refused to comply with the arresting officer. Mr. Kilpatrick fled and was able to lock himself inside his residence for a short time. Within a few minutes of back up arriving, the subject complied and surrendered to local law enforcement. A search incident to his arrest revealed a felony amount of methamphetamine in plain view within arms reach of the arrestee. A simple warrant spiraled into multiple, additional charges including the felony assault and felony possession of controlled substance.
