Stolen 38 Special Leads to Arrest Saturday Night
Meridian Police made a traffic stop on B Street near 18th Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday night, resulting in an arrest and the recovery of a stolen firearm.
During the stop, officers discovered a .38 Special handgun with the serial number filed off. A records check confirmed the weapon had been reported stolen.
K-9 Officer Tolede was deployed to conduct a search of the vehicle and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. Drugs were subsequently located inside the vehicle.
One individual was taken into custody at the scene without incident. No injuries were reported.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
