Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance

The Meridian Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance by the Meridian City Council on September 25 at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will take place in the Third Floor Auditorium of City Hall, located at 601 23rd Ave.

The City Council is considering an amendment to the current Zoning Ordinance 3966, which involves changing the Official Zoning Map of the City of Meridian. This change would reclassify the following property from R-2 Two-Family Residential District to B-3 General Business District:

Hurlbutt's Survey Block 1

- 50' East & West by 137.5' North & South in the Northeast Corner

- 3803 Seventh St

During the public hearing, interested parties and citizens will have the opportunity to express their views to the Commission, which is an advisory committee comprised of citizens. Following the hearing, the Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council. If there are no appeals, the Council will make a final decision without scheduling any further hearings.
