Meridian Parks & Recreation to spread holiday cheer with family events
The City of Meridian’s Parks & Recreation Department is getting into the Christmas spirit and is excited to spread joy to families throughout our community with two upcoming events.
The first event, “A Very Grinchy Movie Night,” will take place on Friday, December 19, at 6 p.m. at the Frank Cochran Center. This family-friendly event will feature Dr. Seuss’s classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” shown on the big screen. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas and enjoy popcorn, nachos, hot chocolate, and a variety of holiday treats, with food trucks available on-site.
On Saturday, December 20, the holiday fun continues with the annual Holiday Ball Bash from 10 a.m. to noon at the Frank Cochran Center. Free balls will be given to children in grades K-12, but the child must be present to receive their ball. This drive-thru event will continue while supplies last.
For more information about these holiday events, please contact the Meridian Parks & Recreation Office at 601-485-1802.
