Body Identfied in Newton County

Received a call for service at 1305 old hickory Road, Newton. Caller advised he was a caretaker of this property and that he had discovered a body inside the home. Deputies discovered a deceased male with no identification. The body was sent to the state crime lab. A positive Identification was made.

The individual was identified as 72 year old Oscar Harris Jr. Last known address was in the Sand Springs community near Hickory Ms. Cause of death is still unknown, awaiting final results from the crime lab.
