MBN MAKES LARGE-SCALE DRUG ARREST IN HINDS AND RANKIN COUNTIES

Jackson, Miss. - On February 5, 2026, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN), with assistance from the Capitol Police Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, and the Jackson Police Department, executed multiple search warrants as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Warrants were served at two different residences in Jackson, Mississippi and one residence in Brandon, Mississippi. As a result of the operation, agents arrested 49-year-old Sean Antonio King and 50-year-old Latonya Hopson King. During the investigation, agents identified Sean Antonio King as a multi-drug distributor operating within the region, and the confiscated narcotics are estimated to be valued at more than $1 million. This investigation remains ongoing, and agents continue to follow additional leads.

Latonya King was charged with the following:

- Aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm within 1500 feet of a school,

- Aggravated trafficking of fentanyl while in possession of a firearm,

- Aggravated trafficking of powder cocaine while in possession of a firearm,

- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.

Sean King was charged with the following:

- Aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine while in possession of a firearm,

- Aggravated trafficking of fentanyl while in possession of a firearm,

- Aggravated trafficking of powder cocaine while in possession of a firearm,

- Possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm,

- Possession of firearm by a convicted felon.

The below-listed items were also seized from the residence:

- Approximately 146 pounds of methamphetamine,

- Approximately 7 pounds of fentanyl powder,

- Approximately 65,000 dosage units of fentanyl pills,

- Approximately 2.2 ounces of crack cocaine,

- Approximately 4.4 pounds of powder cocaine,

- 6 firearms, including 2 rifles and 4 pistols,

- 3 vehicles, including 1 Honda Accord, 1 Dodge Ram Truck, and 1 Mercedes Benz SUV,

- 2 Rolex watches (appraised value of approximately $42,000.00),

- $23,299 in U.S. currency.
