Forest Police Department Arrests US Postal Service Mail Carrier
The Forest Police Department announces that after a week’s long investigation a US Postal Service mail carrier was arrested on his mail route. Lavelle Lee Culpepper was charged with possession w/ intent to distribute marijuana, Felony Possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and DUI-other substance for being under the influence of marijuana while driving the US Postal mail truck.
The Forest Police Department had received several complaints from the public alleging that their mail was delivered with the strong odor of marijuana. Officers were able to establish probable cause and Culpepper was stopped on his route. Culpepper was found to be in possession of 8 ounces of marijuana, and plastic bags for distribution. Culpepper is currently being held in the Scott County Jail.
