Subject Flees from MPD Wearing Handcuffs

MERIDIAN, Miss. — Meridian Police Department officers made a traffic stop near 57th Avenue and 4th Street when the male subject, who had been placed in handcuffs, reportedly fled the scene on foot.

Authorities are asking residents to be on the lookout for a light-skinned Black male wearing a red shirt with handcuffs secured behind his back.

Anyone who spots the subject is asked to call 911 and not approach him.
