Five Arrested Following Drug Investigation at Western Motel in Neshoba County
NESHOBHA COUNTY, Miss. — Four people were arrested following a drug investigation conducted by the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office at the Western Motel on Friday, January 30, 2026.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies received information regarding possible drug activity at the motel and initiated surveillance of the property. During the surveillance, deputies observed several known drug users congregating behind the motel.
As part of the investigation, deputies conducted traffic stops on Weyerhaeuser Road and Valley View Drive. The stops resulted in four felony arrests, multiple misdemeanor charges, and the service of two outstanding warrants.
Those arrested during the traffic stops include:
James Thompson
Outstanding warrants for bad checks
Suspended driver’s license
Felony tampering with evidence
Hallee Crapps
Public profanity
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Felony tampering with evidence
Keith Nash (MDOC Parole)
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Conspiracy to commit a crime (two counts)Possession of drug paraphernalia (two counts)

Following the traffic stops, deputies obtained a search warrant for Room 137 of the Western Motel. During the search, deputies recovered multiple items of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of methamphetamine.
As a result of the search warrant, Candace Clark Spaulding was charged with:
Felony possession of methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
The Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation into illegal drug activity is ongoing and reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the community safe.
