MPD Responds to Shots Fired on North Hills Street

Meridian Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of North Hills Street near Hardee’s shortly after 1 p.m. this afternoon.

According to officials, a citizen interrupted an attempted car burglary when the suspects opened fire in their direction. The two male suspects then fled the scene on foot, running west toward a nearby apartment complex.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
