Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department utilizing the department's SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a residence
On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department utilizing the department's SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of 32nd Street in Meridian as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the operation, agents recovered more than two ounces of powder cocaine, over one ounce of methamphetamine, approximately 7,000 ecstasy pills, multiple suspected fentanyl-laced and pharmaceutical pills, and more than 8½ pounds of marijuana, along with a firearm. Agents also recovered over $19,000 in cash believed to be connected to the drug activity.
Rolando McDonald was arrested and charged with the following crimes
1. Trafficking Ecstasy within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $150.000.00 bond.
2. Trafficking Methamphetamine within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $150,000.00 bond.
3. Trafficking Marijuana within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $150,000.00 bond.
4. Trafficking Cocaine within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $150,000.00 bond.
5. Possession of Xanax within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $100,000.00 bond.
6. Possession of Controlled Substance within 1500 ft of a school while in possession of a firearm. $100,000.00 bond.
Total Bond - $800,000.00
The investigation remains active, and additional charges are possible.
