Lauderdale County, MS Sheriff's Office Swat Team Makes Arrest After Serach Warrant Served

On Tuesday, August 12' at 3:45 p.m. the Lauderdale County SWAT team served a search warrant in the 900 block of Lake Street. The search warrant was based upon an ongoing investigation by the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, Meridian Police Department Special Operations, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Michael Wood was arrested and has been charged with the following charges. These charges will be presented to the next available grand jury for their consideration.

Sale of Meth - 25,000
Felon in possession - 25,000
Poss of meth with intent with firearm - 25,000
Possession of oxycodone with intent with firearm - 25,000
Possession of Adderall with intent with firearm - 25,000
$1,907 in cash was seized
