Northeast High Student Charged with Possession of Firearm on Campus

Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun confirmed that a student at Northeast High School is being charged with having a firearm on school campus.

This morning at approximately 10:30 am several students were found in the parking when they should have been in class. The School Resource officer located a firearm inside a vehicle . The school will be handling the students that were involved in being in the parking lot.

One juvenile is being charged with having possession of a firearm on school campus. The firearm was never displayed and no students were injured during this incident.
