Neshoba County SO & Fentanyl Strike Force Arrest 2

On Thursday, December 14, 2023, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the MS Office of the Attorney General with a Fentanyl Strike Force Saturation Detail in Neshoba and Leake Counties.  Multiple agencies participated within their own jurisdiction, in an effort to conduct proactive narcotics investigations in the area.

Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies reported the following:

Jamie Anderson

10800 Hwy 16 East

Philadelphia, MS 39350

· Sale of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

· Felony Possession Controlled Substance (Morphine)

· Felony Possession Controlled Substance (Oxycodone)

Anderson was arrested on a Sale of Controlled Substance warrant issued through Neshoba County Justice Court.  He possessed felony amounts of Morphine and Oxycodone at the time of his arrest.

Carthage, MS 39051

· No Insurance

· Seatbelt Violation

· Switched tag

· Felony Possession Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Byars was stopped for a seatbelt violation, which led to the discovery of a switched tag and no proof of liability insurance.  Officers discovered a felony amount of methamphetamine on his person during the traffic stop.

3- Felony Possession Controlled Substance

Misdemeanor totals:

      9-  Citations (Seatbelt, Insurance x 3, Switched Tag, Improper Equip., Careless Driving, Child Restraint x 2)

1- DUI 1st Offense

2- Warrants (Contempt of Court)
