Meridian Police Department was requested to respond to 139 calls for service from August 6, 2024 at 6:00 AM to August 7, 2024 at 6:00 AM.
The following were reported to the Meridian Police Department.
Robbery
At 1:16 PM on August 6, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an armed robbery in the 300 block of Highway 19 North. The victim stated he was threatened with a gun and cash was taken, the case is currently under investigation.
Commercial Burglary
There were no commercial burglaries reported.
Church Burglary
There were no church burglaries reported.
Stolen Vehicles
At 8:31 AM on August 6, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 4300 block of 32nd Place. The vehicle has been recovered.
Auto Burglary
At 11:32 AM on August 6, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 4200 block of 37th Street. Entry was gained through a door.
Residential Burglary
There were no residential burglaries reported.
Shootings
Meridian Police responded to 7 shots fired calls and when Officers arrived on scene, only 2 showed any evidence found to support the calls.
At 1:57 PM on August 6, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of 34th Avenue. One residence was struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.
At 8:06 PM on August 6, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of 28th Avenue. One residence was struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.
