Meridian Police Department Media Release

Meridian Police Department was requested to respond to 997 calls for service from August 21, 2024 at 6:00 AM to August 28, 2024 at 6:00 AM.

The following were reported to the Meridian Police Department.

Robbery

At 6:50 PM on August 27, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an armed robbery in the 4600 block of 5th Street. The victim stated he was threatened with a gun and cash was taken, the case is currently under investigation.

Commercial Burglary

At 12:47 PM on August 21, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 2000 block of Old Marion Road. Entry was gained through a door.

At 12:28 PM on August 23, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3100 block of Highway 45 North. Entry was gained through a door.

At 7:26 PM on August 24, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3400 block of Highway 45 North. Entry was gained through a door.

Church Burglary

There were no church burglaries reported.

Stolen Vehicles

At 9:31 AM on August 21, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Highway 11 & 80. The vehicle has been recovered.

At 5:02 AM on August 22, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 4000 block of 30th Avenue. The vehicle has been recovered.

At 8:52 PM on August 24, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 300 block of Highway 19 North. The case is currently under investigation.

At 9:14 AM on August 25, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 4500 block of Highway 39 North. The vehicle has been recovered.

At 10:41 AM on August 25, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 2200 block of Front Street. The case is currently under investigation.

Auto Burglary

At 9:19 AM on August 21, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 200 block of North Frontage Road. Entry was gained through a window.

At 9:28 AM on August 22, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 2200 block of 43rd Avenue. Entry was gained through a door.

At 6:14 AM on August 23, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 & 80. Entry was gained through a door.

At 6:36 AM on August 23, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 1300 block of Hamilton Avenue. Entry was gained through a window.

At 4:54 PM on August 23, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 600 block of 22nd Avenue South. Entry was gained through a door.

At 9:52 AM on August 25, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 4500 block of Highway 45 North. Entry was gained through a door.

At 6:41 PM on August 27, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of South Frontage Road. Entry was gained through a door.

At 4:20 AM on August 28, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 5200 block of Westgate Hills Drive. Entry was gained through a door.

At 5:25 AM on August 28, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 & 80. Entry was gained through a door.

Residential Burglary

At 8:44 AM on August 22, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 100 block of 30th Place. Entry was gained through a window.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 18 shots fired calls and when Officers arrived on scene, only 4 showed any evidence found to support the calls.

At 12:27 AM on August 22, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of 37th Avenue. Two individuals, one residence and two vehicles were struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.

At 10:02 PM on August 22, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 100 block of Highway 19 North. One individual was struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.
