The following were reported to the Meridian Police Department.
Robbery
There were no robberies reported.
Commercial Burglary
At 8:57 AM on May 18, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 3900 block of 8th Street. Entry was gained through a door.
At 9:56 AM on May 18, 2024, Meridian Police responded to commercial burglary in the 3300 block of 8th Street. Entry was gained through a door.
Church Burglary
There were no church burglaries reported.
Stolen Vehicles
At 9:54 PM on May 17, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 1700 block 39th Avenue. The vehicle has been recovered.
Auto Burglary
At 10:46 AM on May 18, 2024, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 100 block of Highway 11 & 80. Entry was gained through a door.
Residential Burglary
There were no residential burglaries reported.
Shootings
Meridian Police responded to 10 shots fired calls and when Officers arrived on scene, only 2 showed any evidence found to support the calls.
At 9:48 PM on May 17, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of 38th Avenue. Two residences and three vehicles were struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.
