The following were reported to the Meridian Police Department from December 29, 2023 at 6:00 AM to January 2, 2024 at 6:00 AM.

Robbery

There were no robberies reported.

Commercial Burglary

At 10:33 AM on December 31, 2023, Meridian Police responded to a commercial burglary in the 1100 block of B Street. Entry was gained through a window.

Church Burglary

There were no church burglaries reported.

Stolen Vehicles

At 3:28 AM on December 31, 2023, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 2400 block of 42nd Avenue. The vehicle has been recovered.

At 3:11 PM on December 31, 2023, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 1700 block of 2nd Street South. The case is currently under investigation.

Auto Burglary

At 1:54 PM on December 29, 2023, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 5500 block of Vally Street. Entry was gained through a door.

At 7:41 AM on December 31, 2023, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 3300 block of Highland Avenue. Entry was gained through a door.

Residential Burglary

At 7:19 AM on December 31, 2023, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 5700 block of Cherokee Road. Entry was gained through a window.

At 9:22 AM on January 1, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 1100 block of 6th Street. Entry was gained through a door.

At 3:35 PM on January 1, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 2200 block of 13th Avenue. Entry was gained through a window.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 52 shots fired calls and when Officers arrived on scene, only 3 showed any evidence found to support the calls.

At 3:41 AM on January 1, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 3900 block of Poplar Springs Drive. One vehicle was struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.

At 10:17 AM on January 1, 2024, Meridian Police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of 29th Avenue. One vehicle was struck by gunfire, the case is currently under investigation.
