Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun confirmed that the Laudrdale County Sheriff's Department had a vehicle pursuit that occurred at 12:26 a.m. A deputy initiated a traffic stop for failing to display a license tag on 65th Ave near Oakland Forrest Court. The vehicle fled north bound on 65th Ave. onto Hwy 19 north ultimately stopping in a business parking lot the 1900 block of Hwy 19 North. The driver fled on foot and hid in the woods. Driver was located by Deputies and taken into custody. More to follow with additional information about the individual and his charges later today.
