Deceased body found

On Friday, August 29, 2025 at approximately 1:45 pm, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a rural property in Neshoba County.  A local resident was mowing his farm property and discovered a partially decomposed body near his woods road.  He and a neighbor stood by and assisted local law enforcement during the recovery.  The property where the body was located was approximately ½ mile west of Highway 15 in the Fork Community.

Neshoba County Sheriff’s Deputies, Neshoba County Medical Examiner and Mississippi Bureau of Investigations officer’s canvassed the area for clues or evidence that would help identify the deceased body.  Evidence would conclude the body had been on the property for an extended period of time, possibly up 4-6 weeks.
