Man Shot Near Car Wash on 35th Avenue

A male was shot just before 1 p.m. in the 4500 block of 35th Avenue, according to witness accounts.

Several people in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots near the car wash. Witnesses say one or possibly two vehicles fled the scene, traveling west on 45th Street. It is not yet confirmed how many individuals were involved.

The victim was reportedly shot multiple times and was transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle. His condition has not been officially confirmed.

The Meridian Police Department and Meridian Fire Department responded to the scene. Numerous shell casings were visible on the ground, indicating a high volume of gunfire, though the type of weapon used has not been officially confirmed.
