City of Meridian, Mississippi household hazardous waste day scheduled for December 6, 2025

The city of Meridian will host its next household hazardous waste day on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 8 AM to 2 PM. This event provides residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of items that cannot be placed in regular household garbage.

Two collection sites will be available for drop off:

Public works complex at 3:11 27th Ave.

N. Hills Shopping Center at 4531 35th Ave.

Residents may bring the following items for disposal: aerosol cans, paint and paint, thinner, drain opener, antifreeze used oil, tires, cell phones, and electronics, yard and garden pesticides, fluorescent bulbs, oil filters, batteries, solvents, and corrosives.

This services offered to help protect the environment, reduce community risks and encourage proper disposal practices across Meridian.
