UPDATE ON BURGER KING MURDER SUSPECT
On Tuesday, June 25, the Meridian Police Department’s CID detectives and agents, Gang Unit, and Special Operations Unit learned through investigative intel that Ketwantavius Dean, a suspect in the Saturday, June 21, fatal shooting at Burger King on North Frontage Road, was still residing in the City of Meridian.
“At that time, a plan was formulated to take Dean into custody,” Meridian Police Chief Deborah Naylor-Young said.
Naylor-Young said the suspect was taken into custody without incident at 1618 29th Ave. Dean will be held for the charge of murder.
“We would like to thank the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, the East Mississippi Drug Task Force, and the Meridian Fire Department for their assistance,” Naylor-Young said.
