U-Haul Crashes into Cricket Store

A U-Haul truck crashed into a building Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 18th Avenue and North Frontage Road. Authorities say the U-Haul first struck a Chevrolet pickup before continuing into the Cricket Wireless store on the corner, causing major damage to the building.

Meridian Police Department, Meridian Fire Department, and Metro Ambulance Services responded to the scene. One person was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No word yet on the extent of injuries or if charges will be filed.
