Two Suspects Apprehended After Theft at Neshoba County Fair

Neshoba County, Miss. — Two individuals were apprehended Thursday morning after allegedly stealing backpacks belonging to staff members at the 137th Annual Neshoba County Fair, according to fair officials.

At approximately 8:15 a.m., C&M Security was notified that two backpacks belonging to fair staff had been stolen. The backpacks contained several personal items, including wallets, boots, a Visa card, Social Security cards, personal identification documents, a new iPhone 17, and a pair of Apple AirPods.

Fair staff were able to provide security personnel with a photograph of the suspects. C&M Security officers quickly located and detained both individuals believed to be involved in the theft.

Working in coordination with the Neshoba County Sheriff's Office, security personnel recovered the stolen property, which had reportedly been concealed within an area of the midway.

Officials said the swift response and cooperation between law enforcement and security staff helped ensure the recovery of the victims' belongings and the apprehension of the suspects.

"The Neshoba County Fair Association, C&M Security, and the Neshoba County Sheriff's Office remain committed to providing a safe environment for all fair-goers and ensuring everyone can enjoy their time at the 137th Annual Neshoba County Fair," fair officials said in a statement.
