Meridian Police Make Arrest Following Overnight Burglary

Meridian, MS — The Meridian Police Department (MPD) has made an arrest following a burglary that occurred overnight in the 3100 block of 20th Street.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a local business. The owner reported that a suspect had forced entry into an office on the property. The business owner was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.

Shortly after the suspect fled the scene, an MPD officer located the vehicle near 19th Street and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Thanks to the swift response and coordination of MPD officers, the suspect was apprehended quickly and safely. No injuries were reported.
