Jasper County Escapee Devin Johnson Captured Overnight

Jasper County, MS – Devin Johnson, the inmate who escaped from the Jasper County Jail on September 30th, has been taken into custody sometime overnight. As of this morning, authorities have not released the exact location of his arrest.

Johnson, who had been on the run for nearly a week, initially escaped by fleeing through a door at the jail and disappearing into nearby woods. He now faces three counts of Aggravated Assault and Escape of Prisoners, with additional charges potentially pending as the investigation continues.

Local law enforcement has not yet provided further details regarding how or where Johnson was apprehended
