Meridian Municipal Court to Host First-Ever Warrant Amnesty Day on Feb. 26
MERIDIAN — The City of Meridian’s Municipal Court will hold its first-ever Warrant Amnesty Day on Thursday, February 26, 2026, giving residents a chance to resolve outstanding misdemeanor warrants without fear of arrest or jail time.
The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Meridian Police Department and is open to anyone who has — or believes they may have — an outstanding misdemeanor warrant within the municipal court system. According to court officials, individuals who attend Amnesty Day will be able to:
Clear eligible misdemeanor warrants without being arrested
Receive a new court date on the spot
Resolve Failures to Appear in the system
Reset overdue payment plans with no penalties
Enroll immediately in community service or the MCC Program, if eligible
Importantly, no money is required to participate, and attendees will not need to contact a bondsman.
Court officials emphasized that the event is designed to remove barriers that often prevent people from addressing unresolved court matters.
“This is a free day to handle your business without penalty,” the court stated.
Residents with unresolved municipal court issues are encouraged to take advantage of the one-day opportunity to get back into compliance safely and efficiently.
For more information, individuals can contact the Meridian Municipal Court directly.
