Aggravated Assault Arrest Made Following Shots Fired Incident

Clarke County, MS – June 25, 2025

On June 25, 2025, Clarke County Deputies responded to a report of gunshots and a vehicle being struck at 117 County Road 3511. Upon arrival, deputies and investigators took William Joseph Phillips into custody. He has since been charged with aggravated assault in connection with the incident.

According to the victim, Michael Fuller, he was checking the mail at the residence he shares with his estranged wife when he heard gunfire and discovered that his vehicle had been hit. Investigators processed the scene and collected evidence that led to Phillips’ arrest.
