Marion Mayor calls for Alderman Candidate to Drop Out of Race

Marion Mayor Larry Gill has called for Rita Rawson to with withdraw her bid for Alderman in the upcoming election in Marion. There is an alleged video being shared on social media that shines a bad light on the candidate for using a racial slur.

Mayor Gill said “In the town of Marion, there’s no place for racism, bigotry, nor prejudice behavior especially from people who seek to serve to serve our community.”
