The Meridian Police Department has made two arrests

The Meridian Police Department has made two arrests in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this week in the 4400 block of eighth Street in Meridian, Mississippi.

On Monday, Meridian Police Department requested the public assistance in identifying individuals related to this incident. As a result of the community cooperation and the work of MPD investigators to individuals are now in custody.

Assistant Chief Dareall Thompson confirmed the arrests, saying, “These two individuals have been taken into custody and are off the streets. We appreciate our citizens assistance and the continued partnership that helps us move quickly to solve crime and protect our community.”

An official statement with additional details will be released tomorrow. The Meridian Police Department in the city of Meridian, thank our citizens for their engagement and cooperation as we continue working together to make our city safer and stronger.
